Salad Tongs
Serving utensils that are typically joined together to form a left and right gripping mechanism to allow salad greens to be easily grasped, removed from a salad bowl and placed on a plate. Salad tongs are made in a variety of materials such as plastic, nylon, steel, aluminum, and wood. A common design made for salads is one that has a broad spoon shape on one side and a pronged fork on the other. This design allows the spoon to remove salad ingredients that may slip through prongs, such as dressings, small croutons or olives, while the prongs effectively grasp and hold various shaped items such as salad greens or tomatoes.
