A square piece of pasta, similar to a very short length of a lasagnette noodle, that is flat in the center and rippled on two sides. Common in the Tuscan region of Italy, tacconi pasta is often made with ingredients and then processed to develop a rough surface that holds rich earthy sauces made from mushrooms, wild game, or most specifically rabbit. Tacconi may also be referred to as festonelle.
