The liqueur that is added to Champagne bottles, replacing wine lost by expelling the plug of yeast from the bottle. Liqueur d’ expedition is white wine that may or may not contain sugar and/or brandy. The amount of sugar present in the white wine will determine the type of sparkling wine. The result will range from a dry “brut” to a sweet sparkling wine. |
