(1) French word for “vat”. (2) French refer to a wine as Cuvée if it is a specific blend, typically derived from different varietals/vintages. These wines are thought of as high quality and are most often, not always, a sparkling wine. (3) Refers to the first crushing of the grapes during wine production.
