A type of oil that is less expensive and not quite as flavorful as higher grades, making it very suitable as cooking oil for fried foods. When rated, this oil has a maximum acidity level of 3%. Semi fine virgin olive oil can be used in salad dressings or sauces, but will provide much less flavor than better grades.
