Banana Chili Pepper  
A variety of pepper that has a banana shape and is typically 2 to 3 inches in length. At times referred to as a "yellow wax" pepper, Banana Chile peppers have a waxy yellow skin that turns red when fully ripe. Sweet and mild in flavor, this variety of pepper resembles the Hungarian Wax pepper which is often considered to be the same chile pepper except slightly larger and hotter in flavor. It is also often called a sweet banana pepper and can be found throughtout the year in many food stores.

Banana Peppers can be served in salads, salsas, sauces, soups, stews, sandwiches, and as appetizers either fresh or pickled. When storing, refrigerate for 5 to 10 days stored in a plastic bag.
