An acronym for the United States Department of Agriculture, which is a government agency established to support agricultural production and to enforce regulations designed to protect farmers and consumers who use agricultural products. The USDA is concerned about safety, nutrition, cost, and accessibility of the food supply and also about the land, forests, development of farm and rural communities, and the expansion of our agricultural and forest global markets.
