An ovenproof dish with straight sides that is typically made of porcelain. This piece of bakeware which may be referred to as a "Soufflé Dish" is constructed with straight sides which helps the soufflé to rise upward as it bakes and expands above the sides of the dish. Soufflé Molds are made in a variety of sizes that range from several inches in diameter to over 8 inches. Smaller dishes are used for individual servings of soufflés while the larger dishes of 1 to 2 quarts are made to be sliced into the individual servings. |
