Directions
Cut a thin slice from stem end of each pepper. Remove seeds and membranes. Rinse. Cook in enough boiling water to cover for 5 minutes, drain. Brown ground beef, drain. Add all remaining ingredients and 1 C. of tomato sauce. Simmer 5 minutes. Stuff peppers with meat mixture. Stand upright in ungreased baking pan. Cover with remaining tomato sauce. Cover and bake 30 minutes. Sprinkle peppers with cheese and bake uncovered 5 min more.

-6 green peppers (large)
-1 pound Lean Ground Beef
-1/2 cup chopped onion
-1 can sliced mushrooms, drained (10 ounce can)
-1 cup cooked rice
-1 can tomato sauce (14 ounce can)
-1/4 teaspoon salt
-1/2 teaspoon oregano
-1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
-1/4 teaspoon Thyme
-3/4 cup mozzarella cheese
