| Directions | Cut a thin slice from stem end of each pepper. Remove seeds and membranes. Rinse. Cook in enough boiling water to cover for 5 minutes, drain. Brown ground beef, drain. Add all remaining ingredients and 1 C. of tomato sauce. Simmer 5 minutes. Stuff peppers with meat mixture. Stand upright in ungreased baking pan. Cover with remaining tomato sauce. Cover and bake 30 minutes. Sprinkle peppers with cheese and bake uncovered 5 min more. |
