| Directions | Combine peas, peppercorns, ham bone, salt and water in large kettle. Bring to boil, then simmer 2-3 hours, until peas are done, adding water if necessary. Remove ham bone, cut off meat and chop finely. Add the ham bits and vegetables to soup. Cook until carrots are done, about 30 minutes. |
