| Directions | In a saucepan, beat the egg yolks; add the milk and mix well. Mix sugar together with cornstarch and salt; add to milk and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla. Pour into dessert dishes. This can be used for banana cream pie but cool the pudding and then layer pudding and bananas into a baked pie shell; when set, whip cream for the topping. |
