Cream together butter and shortening. Add sugar and eggs. Mix flour, salt and baking powder together, then add to mixture. Mix all ingredients very well. Add flavorings last. Grease sides of Bundt pan and pour mixture into it. Bake at 350° degrees.
For a little extra touch, put a caramel frosting over cake.
Frosting:
2 cups sugar, 1 stick butter, 1 can evaporated milk. Mix ingredients in a small skillet on medium heat until caramelized. Pour over or frost cake.
