| Directions | Mix together flour, sugar, and salt in top of double boiler. Add milk and cook over hot water, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Cook 15 minutes longer, stirring occasionally. Pour small amount of mixture over eggs, beat vigorously. Return this mixture to double boiler and cook 2 minutes longer, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, cool, and add vanilla. Chill, fold in whipped cream. Pour over pie crust lined with sliced ripe bananas. |
