| Directions | Sift together sugar and flour in large mixing bowl. In a saucepan, mix 1 cup margarine, 1 cup water, ad cocoa. Bring to a rapid boil and pour over flour and sugar mixture. Mix well with mixer and add buttermilk, eggs, vanilla, and soda. Mix well and pour into large jelly roll pan (11" x 15") that has been greased and floured. Bake 25 minutes at 350. Have icing ready to put on the cake when it is taken out of the oven. Icing directions: Mix cocoa, milk, and margarine in saucepan and bring to a boil. Add powdered sugar, beat well. Add vanilla/nuts. Beat and spread on the hot cake. |
