Preheat oven to 350°. Combine the butter, sugar and corn syrup in a large bowl. Using a hand held electric mixer set at medium speed, beat in the eggs one at a time until combined. Beat in the vanilla.
Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the bottom of the pie crust. Sprinkle the pecan halves over the chocolate chips. Pour in the filling and bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the pie is set.
