Pizza Pot Pie - Recipe

Oregano, basil, Italian sausage and spaghetti sauce team up in this kid-friendly meal that adults will love, too. Melted mozzarella cheese creates the perfect topping.

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Cook pasta as directed on package. Drain well.

2. Meanwhile, break up Italian sausage in large skillet. Cook on medium heat 5 minutes or until cooked through. Drain fat.

3. Mix sausage, spaghetti sauce, onions, basil, oregano and pepper in 9-inch deep-dish pie plate or 2 1/2-quart casserole. Add pasta; mix well. Cover top with mozzarella slices.

4. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and mixture is heated through.

Pepperoni Pizza Pot Pie: Prepare as directed, substituting 8 ounces pepperoni, cut into slices or chunks, for Italian sausage.
