| Directions | Preheat oven to 325°. Lightly grease a 10 inch tube pan with shortening and coat with flour. Combine apples and lemon juice; add sugar;; let stand. In a mixing bowl, beat eggs slightly, add oil and vanilla; mix together with the flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon. Mix alternatively with the apple mixture. Gently fold in raisins and nuts. Bake for 1 hour and 45 minutes or until done. |
