| Directions | Slice strawberries or use whole. Dissolve cornstarch, sugar, lemon juice, and salt in cold water. Cook, stirring until mixture boils and becomes thick and clear. Add food coloring. Add to berries. Set aside. (This sauce may also be used to fill a baked crust for strawberry pie) |
