Clam Log - Recipe

Great appetizer for the holidays. I prefer to roll the log in pecans, but your favorite nut will be delicious, too.

Clam Log Recipe
Directions
  • In a medium bowl, combine clams, cheese, cream cheese, hot sauce, butter, Worcestershire sauce and onion; blend well.
  • Mix in 3 tablespoons parsley.
  • Shape mixture into a ball. Chill for at least 3 hours.
  • Shape mixture into 2 logs.
  • Combine remaining parsley and nuts; roll logs in parsley mixture, pressing lightly.
  • Cover and chill for several hours or overnight.
  • Serve with crackers.

-2 cans minced clams, drained
-1 pound cheddar cheese, grated
-6 ounces cream cheese , softened
-3/4 teaspoon hot sauce
-1/4 cup butter
-2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
-1 teaspoon onion, grated
-6 tablespoons chopped parsley, divided
-1/2 cup finely chopped nuts
- Assorted crackers
