Cream butter and sugar. Blend in the eggs and 2 teaspoons vanilla. Add flour, soda, and 1/2 teaspoon salt until well mixed; stir in oatmeal. Spread 2/3 mixture onto 10x15x1 inch pan. For filling, melt chocolate chips, milk, 2 tablespoons butter, and remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt in small saucepan on medium heat until smooth. Stir in nuts and remaining 2 teaspoons vanilla. Pour over mixture in pan. Dot with remaining oatmeal mixture. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. |
