- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour 9x13 pan.
- In a large bowl, combine cake mix as directed on box replacing the water with the apple pie filling. Beat with a electric mixer as directed on the box. Pour into prepared pan.
- For topping, combine brown sugar, butter, flour, cinnamon and nuts. Sprinkle on top of cake.
- Bake for 40 minutes.
- Serve with whipped topping.
