| Directions |
- Add water to vegetables and simmer for 10 minutes in a soup pot or Dutch oven. Don't drain.
- Make a white sauce from the margarine, flour and milk by first melting the margarine in a medium saucepan; then add the flour and mix together.
- Pour in the milk and continue to heat until the mixture boils and thickens, stirring vigorously to get flour incorporated.
- Remove from heat and stir in cheese.
- Add this cheesy white sauce and the ham to the pot of vegetables and heat together.
