Sift flour and salt together; set aside. In dough mixer and large bowl cream butter, sugar, yolks, and vanilla. Add dry ingredients, mix well. Roll dough into 1 inch balls. Beat egg whites till stiff. Roll balls into egg whites and then crushed nuts. Put on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake ta 375 for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and with thumb, make a dent in cookie top. Fill holes with jelly and put back into oven and finish baking for 8 more minutes or until golden brown. |
