| Directions | - Season the beef roast with salt and pepper (optional); then place it in the crock pot.
- Add to the crock pot the beef broth, beef consommé soup, French onion soup, and bouillon granules.
- Slice the onion; then place the slices on top of roast.
- Cover and cook on the low heat setting for 6 to 8 hours, or until the roast pulls apart easily.
