| Directions | - Remove as much fat from the salt pork as possible.
- After rinsing the dry pinto beans, place them into the crockpot and note the level of the beans in the crock pot; then cover the beans with enough water so that the level in the crock pot is about twice the level as previously noted.
- Add 1 or 2 chunks of salt pork, cover, and cook on the low heat setting for 8 to 10 hours.
Note: There is no need to measure anything; whatever amount of beans are used, simply add enough water to double the level in the crock pot. |
