| Directions | - In a heavy skillet, brown the beef.
- To the slow cooker, add the beef and all of the other ingredients except the rice.
- Cover and cook on the low heat setting for 8 - 10 hours or on the high heat setting for 4 - 5 hours.
- Before serving, add the rice, cover, and cook an additional 45 minutes or until the rice is tender.
