| Directions | - Line a 9 1/2- x 11-inch pan with tin foil; then place a single layer of crackers to cover the bottom of the pan.
- In a saucepan on the stovetop, melt the butter and brown sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer 3 - 5 minutes.
- Pour the mixture over the soda crackers; then place in the oven 5 - 7 minutes at 400ºF.
- Remove from the oven, let sit one minute, and then spread the chocolate chips over base to form the frosting. (The chips will melt on their own.)
- Place in the refrigerator until hard; then break apart into pieces. Serve cold.
