Peaches and Cream Dessert - Recipe

At the height of the peach season this dessert will be a hit. Sweet peaches and cream is always a treat.

Directions
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour and salt; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Whisk egg and water together; sprinkle over flour mixture and toss. Form dough into a ball; press into a 13x9 inch pan. Bake for 7 minutes.
  • Increase oven to 425 degrees F.
  • For filling, combine sugar, flour and spices; toss with the peaches. Pour over the crust. Pour cream over peaches. Bake for 20 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to 350 degrees F and bake 25 minutes longer or until peaches are tender. Let stand 25 minutes before serving. Refrigerate any leftovers.

- CRUST:
-2 cups all-purpose flour
-1 teaspoon salt
-3/4 cup cold butter
-1 egg
-3 tablespoons cold water
- FILLING:
-1 cup sugar
-1/3 cup all-purpose flour
-1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
-1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
-5 peaches , peeled and sliced
-1 cup whipping cream
