| Directions | - In a large bowl, combine the sugars, eggs, margarine, and oil.
- Sift together the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt. Add this to the creamed mixture.
- Add the vanilla and almond extracts and mix well.
- Refrigerate the dough 1 hour or overnight.
- After the dough has chilled, roll it into one-inch balls and place 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet.
- Flatten with the bottom of a glass that has been dipped in sugar. (Use a glass that has a design on the bottom to make the cookies more decorative.)
- Bake at 350ºF for 12 - 15 minutes.
- Cool on wire racks.
