| Directions | - In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar.
- Combine flour and baking soda. Gradually add to the creamed mixture.
- Transfer to a larger bowl and knead in the oats.
- Shape into 1 1/2-inch balls; then roll the dough balls in sugar.
- Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Flatten with the bottom of a glass. Bake at 350ºF for 10-12 minutes or until brown.
- Cool the cookies on wire racks. Makes 8 dozen.
