Melt sugar and milks in a large saucepan, stirring until melted add pecans. Let mixture come to a boil. Boil for 20 minutes, stirring pretty much constantly (good job for a bored child:) Add salt, butter, and extract. Remove from heat and stir a few more strokes. Spoon (about a tablespoon) onto waxed paper and let cool. Makes about 3 1/2 dozen. Recipe can be doubled if you're ever in need of 6+ dozen pralines! |
