| Directions | - Coat the inside the slow cooker with olive oil (or your favorite cooking oil).
- In a small bowl, mix the dried minced onion, parsley flakes, mustard, garlic powder, allspice, cinnamon, and Cayenne pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture onto the ribs.
- Layer the ribs inside the crock pot.
- Pour the water over the ribs.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook the ribs on the low heat setting for 8 hours.
- Remove the ribs from the slow cooker; then drain and discard the liquid from the pot.
- Pour the barbecue sauce into a bowl and dip the ribs into the sauce.
- Return the ribs to the slow cooker and pour any remaining barbecue sauce into the crock pot.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on the low heat setting for 1 to 1½ hours.
