| Directions |
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large bowl, cream together shortening with 1/2 cup white sugar and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Mix in 2 yolks, vanilla and water. Gradually stir in flour, baking powder and baking soda.
- In a smaller bowl, beat egg whites until stiff. Add in remaining 1 cup brown sugar.
- Pat dough into 15x10 jelly roll pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and gently push into dough.
- Spread egg whites over it and place in preheated oven for 30 minutes.
- Cut into squares while still warm dipping knife blade into a glass of water between cuts.
