| Directions |
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cream together sugar and butter. Add eggs one at a time. Fold in the apples. Sift together flour, salt, soda, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Combine with the apple mixture. Pour batter into greased 9x13 inch pan.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes.
- Just before serving, prepare sauce by dissolving sugar in butter over medium heat. Add cream and vanilla; cook until heated through. Serve over apple cake.
