| Directions | In a large frying pan caramelize the onions and apples in olive oil. When the onions and apples are caramelized, add the sauerkraut and heat through. Put mixture and brats in slow cooker, add beer to cover and cook about 4 hours. To brown brats finish on a grill. VARIATION: This may be cooked in a large kettle on stove top. Brats may be grilled and then added to the mixture. |
