| Directions | Fill hot jars with apples with 1 inch head space. Make syrup by combining sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and water. Cook until thick. Add lemon juice. Pour syrup over apples in a jar, leaving 1 inch head space. Adjust lids. Process 20 minutes in water bath. |
