| Directions | To make cake, cream shortening and sugar; add eggs, one at a time, stirring after each addition. Sift flour, salt and soda 3 times; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk and bananas. Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into 3 (9 inch) greased and floured cake pans. Bake at 325°F until cake tests done. To make frosting, combine all ingredients, spread between layers and on top and sides of cake. |
