Cut bread into cubes and place in the bottom of a buttered (9 x 13-inch) baking dish. Layer sausage and cheese over bread Mix eggs with milk, salt and pepper. Carefully pour over sausage and cheese. Cover and refrigerate overnight or let sit for 1 hour for the bread to absorb liquids. Bake uncovered at 350° for 45 to 60 minutes or until puffed in the center. Cut into squares and serve hot. |
