| Directions | Start about 4 PM. Boil water, salt and sugar for 5 minutes. Then add butter and cool. Have yeast soaked in warm water ready. Add about 4 C. flour to cooled liquid before adding yeast. This will prevent butter from coating yeast and hindering working action. Add yeast and more flour. Beat well. Add beaten eggs; then rest of flour. Knead well. Dough should be doubled by 6:30-7:00 PM. Knead down about 9:00 PM. Shape and put in greased pans. Let stand over night at ordinary room temperature. In morning about 7:00-8:00 AM. bake at normal bread temperature for about 15 to 18 minutes or until golden colored. Makes about 75 to 80 buns. Good buns! |
