| Directions |
- Drain liquid from the beets to equal 3/4 cup, add water if necessary.
- Set beets aside.
- Place beet juice in a medium saucepan.
- Whisk in the cornstarch until all lumps are removed.
- Add the remaining ingredients to the saucepan.
- Heat over medium heat and stir until thickened, approximately 10 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer gently for 10 more minutes.
- Add the beets and heat through.
- Serve warm.
- Goes great with pork or chicken.
