| Directions | Preheat broiler. Generously grease rack of broiler pan. Soak 4 wooden skewers in water while preparing bread. Cut each bread slice in half. Beat milk, eggs, granulated sugar, vanilla and salt in shallow dish until well blended. Place bread pieces in egg mixture. Let stand 5 minutes , turning to soak all sides. Meanwhile, combine orange juice, honey, cornstarch, and ginger in small saucepan, bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Cook and stir 1 minute more. Set aside and keep warm. Thread 4 pieces of bread onto prepared skewers. Place on prepared rack of broiler pan. Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat 5 to 7 minutes or until lightly browned. Turn skewers, broil 3 to 5 minutes more or until lightly browned. Spoon juice mixture onto 4 plates; top with French toast skewers. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and raspberries. Serve immediately. |
