| Directions | BARBECUE SAUCE:
- Whisk all of the sauce ingredients together in a saucepan with 1/2 cup of water.
- Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Stir occasionally.
NEW YORK STRIPS:
- Trim off any excess fat from the steaks as desired.
- Let the steaks stand at room temperature for 20 minutes before grilling.
- Chop the garlic.
- Sprinkle kosher salt onto the garlic. With the flat side of a knife blade, crush the garlic and salt together to create a paste.
- Mix this paste in a small bowl with the oil, rosemary and pepper.
- Rub this mixture onto both sides of the steaks.
- Heat the grill to medium.
- Grill for 6 minutes, turning once, for medium rare. For medium, grill for 8 minutes.
- Serve hot off the grill with barbecue sauce.

- | | 4 New York Strip steaks - cut one inch thick |
- | | 3 cloves garlic |
- | | 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt |
- | | 3 tablespoons olive oil |
- | | 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary - finely chopped |
- | | 2 teaspoons fresh ground black pepper |
