Directions
Bring the first seven ingredients to a boil for 5 minutes and then cool for 2 hour or longer. (Has to be cool) Put the raisin mixture in a large mixing bowl when cool and add eggs, baking soda and flour. Pour and bake in two greased and floured loaf pans at 350° for 1 hour or when knife inserted comes out clean.

NOTE: Sometimes I chop 1 apple and boil with raisin mixture. I sometimes add one small package or can of chopped walnuts at the end, just before putting into loaf pans.

-2 sticks margarine
-2 cups sugar
-2 1/2 cups water
-1 teaspoon cinnamon
-1 teaspoon cloves
-1 teaspoon Ginger
-3 eggs, beaten
-2 teaspoons Baking Soda
-3 1/2 cups flour
