| Directions | Sift dry ingredients; cut in butter. Add sugar and raisins; mix to a soft dough with egg and milk. Knead lightly on a floured surface. Roll out to about 1/2 inch thickness. If using a 2-inch diameter cutter, this makes about 24 scones. Place on floured baking sheets and brush top with beaten egg or milk. Bake at 475° for 10-12 minutes. |
