Cut hot dog buns lengthwise (should have 4 long sticks per bun).
Melt butter; add garlic powder & cayenne pepper. Dip each bread stick in butter mixture (quickly dip--do not soak). Place on cookie sheet. Bake at 250° for 1 1/2 hours. Turn after 45 minutes. Store in airtight container.
