| | Directions | | Combine flour, salt, soda and baking powder in mixing bowl. Mix in shortening; add enough buttermilk to make a dough. Turn dough out onto floured board. Knead several times. Make into biscuits. Butter pan or use oil. Put biscuits in pan and put butter or oil on top. Bake in preheated 400°F. oven until done. Do not overcook. Make each biscuit about 1/2" thick. |
