Directions
  • Wash and trim rhubarb. Slice ribs about 1/2 inch thick.
  • Put all ingredients except vanilla into a saucepan and simmer until rhubarb is soft, about 10 minutes. Stir in vanilla.
  • Use sauce warm or chill.  Keeps, refrigerated and covered, for a week or more.

-2/3 cup sugar
-2 tablespoons water
-3 tablespoons frozen orange juice concentrate
-pinch salt
-1/2 teaspoon vanilla
