SCOTTISH MEAT BALLS - Recipe

Directions
Mix ingredients thoroughly and form into small balls. (fifty cent size). Preheat frying pan on low heat and slightly brown balls, turning once or so. Put a small amount of mild barbecue sauce on each ball (or use sweet and sour mixture). Add a very small amount of water to pan and turn down heat to simmer. Cover pan and allow to simmer for fifteen to twenty minutes.

-1 egg, beaten
-1 teaspoon Salt
-1/2 cup applesauce, unsweetened
-1/4 cup grated onions
-3 tablespoons diced bell pepper
-1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes
-1/4 teaspoon allspice or nutmeg
