Cut each slice of bacon into 3 pieces. Wrap each little smokie with one piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Line these up in a 9x13 baking pan. Cover with brown sugar generously. May need more or less brown sugar to cover smokies. Cover pan and place in refrigerator at least four hours, or overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, or until bacon is done. Note: This really only works well using the entire package of smokies and bacon. Using less does not create enough BBQ juices. |
