Thin slice the red onions and quarter them. Thin shred both the red and green cabbage. Shred the carrot. Then mix together in large bowl and set aside. Mince the cilantro and garlic, set aside in medium bowl. Add diced tomatoes and sliced jalapenos to cabbage bowl. To cilantro bowl, add jalapeno juice, lemon/lime juice, sugar, salt and pepper and mix well. Add to cabbage bowl and mix until cabbage is wet. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes or overnight. The longer it sits the better it tastes. It will start to get hot with age. |
